The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Turbon – Growth in sales and earnings The Turbon Group, leading manufacturer of compatible imaging supplies for computer printers, was successful in increasing both sales and earnings in the first six months of 2002. Consolidated sales in the first six months of 2002 were Euro 78.5 million compared to Euro 75.1 million in the previous year. The increase in sales is due to the highly positive development in the sector of new technologies (non impact-products). Sales of these products rose in the first six months of 2002 by 16.6 percent to Euro 52.5 million. Overall, non impact-products (laser cartridges, ink jet, TTR) accounted for 66.8% of sales (previous year 59.9%), impact-products (ink ribbon cartridges for dot matrix printers, etc.) for 29.4% (previous year 35.9%) and other products for 3.8% (previous year 4.2%) of sales. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were Euro 4.4 million compared to Euro 4.3 million in the previous year. Income from ordinary operations was Euro 3.0 million compared to Euro 2.4 million in 2001. Consolidated net income rose to Euro 1.9 million compared to Euro 1.7 million in the previous year. Earnings per share as per IAS 33 were Euro 0.54 compared to Euro 0.45 in the first six months of 2001. We expect the positive business developments to continue throughout the second half of the year. In spite of the exchange rate for US dollars having fallen against the Euro, the annual budget figures of Euro 155.0 million sales with consolidated net income of at least Euro 3.4 million are still realistic as things look today.
