Turbon AG – Figures for three months

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Turbon AG – Figures for three months Consolidated sales increased in Q1/2006 compared to Q1/2005 by Euro 4.4 million to Euro 34.1 million, Euro 1.1 million of which was due to positive currency effects at the time of sales consolidation. Non-impact products accounted for sales of Euro 27.8 million (81.6% of aggregate sales) in Q1/2006 compared to Euro 22.6 million (76.3% of aggregate sales) in Q1/2005. Sales in the core area – laser cartridges – were especially positive; they rose to Euro 24.7 million (72.6% of aggregate sales) from Euro 18.5 million (62.4% of aggregate sales) in the same period of 2005. In contrast, the market-related decline in impact products continued. Sales in this product area were Euro 5.5 million (16.1% of aggregate sales) in Q1/2006, whereas they were Euro 6.1 million (20.6% of aggregate sales) in the previous year. Sales of other products in the first three months of 2006 were Euro 0.8 million (Q1/2005: Euro 0.9 million). This figure includes Euro 0.2 million of lease income according to IFRS (Q1/2005: Euro 0.2 million). Q1/2006 EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) were Euro 1.4 million compared to Euro 1.3 million in Q1/2005. Income from ordinary operations was around Euro 1.1 million compared to Euro 1.0 million in 2005, whereas consolidated net income was Euro 0.8 million compared to Euro 0.7 million for the same period of 2005. Earnings per share were calculated at Euro 0.21 after Euro 0.20 in 2005. The calculation was based on average shares issued of 4,042,000 compared to 3,629,000 for Q1/2005. On the whole, Q1 earnings were largely in line with our budget figures.
