The first six months of 2003 proved successful for United Internet. Consolidated sales of United Interned AG increased, in comparison to last year, by 36 % to EUR 197.7 million (prior-year value: EUR 145.7 million). Earnings also developed very positively: earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 39 % from EUR 27.3 million (prior-year value) to EUR 38.0 million. Earnings before taxes (EBT) of the United Internet Group increased by 54 % from EUR 17.5 million (prior-year value) to EUR 26.9 million. Earnings per share reached EUR 0.28 (prior-year figure: EUR 0.20). Figures used in comparison are the prior-year values without last-years special items from the sale of investments. In the first six months, operative cash flow of the group totalled EUR 27.6 million (prior-year figure: EUR 19.9 million).
