Basler with new members of the board
Ahrensburg, 20.09.2001 – The supervisory board of Basler AG (securities
identification number 510200) has announced two new members of the managing
board. As of October 1, 2001, CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley will be supported in his
managing functions by Axel Dancker (44 years, Sandhausen) in the newly created
function of Chief Operations Officer (COO) and by Peter Krumhoff (40 years, Bad
Homburg) as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both new members of the managing
board look back on years of experience gained in their corresponding areas:
Peter Krumhoff was last employed as division leader of Finances & Controlling at
Leica Camera AG in Solms, whereas Axel Dancker worked as leader of the division
Service Logistics at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.

Ahrensburg, 20.09.2001 – The supervisory board of Basler AG (securities
identification number 510200) has announced two new members of the managing
board. As of October 1, 2001, CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley will be supported in his
managing functions by Axel Dancker in the newly created function of Chief
Operations Officer (COO) and by Peter Krumhoff as new Chief Financial Officer
(CFO). “With this managing board, we at Basler will be able to strengthen not
only the high growth potentials of the Vision Technology market but also
essentially the productivity”, explains Prof. Dr. Walter Kunerth, chairman of
the Basler supervisory board.
The responsibilities of economics engineer Axel Dancker include the divisions of
Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Service and Plant Organization (incl. IT
sector). The today 44-year-old Hamburg-born engineer offers more than 15 years
of experience within the areas Service, Logistics and Management. At
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, he was last responsible for the worldwide
division Service Logistics with a turnover of about DM 325 million and more than
330 employees at four production locations in Germany. This field of activities
contained the global Supply Chain Management and the distribution of spare
parts as well as the utilization of E-commerce platforms within the spare part
business.
Peter Krumhoff (40) is taking over the financial resort in the managing board of
Basler. The graduate of the European Business School in Oestrich Winkel will be
responsible for the areas Finances, Controlling and Investor Relations.
Management expert Krumhoff was the leader of the area Controlling & Finances at
Leica Camera AG. Beside all classic commercial tasks, such as the drawing up of
annual financial statements and annual reports, as well as the conception and
realization of an integrated group planning, Mr. Krumhoff provides extensive
experiences in the area of mergers & acquisitions.
Dietmar Ley appreciates the support within the Basler board: “In a close
shoulder-to-shoulder stance, the new managing board will consequently realize
synergy potentials and thus continuously improve the efficiency of Basler”.
