9-month results 2025: Basler AG confirms strong growth in sales and earnings
Ahrensburg, November 6, 2025 – BASLER AG, a leading provider of image processing components for computer vision solutions, today confirmed its figures for the first nine months of 2025. The Basler Group significantly increased its incoming orders and sales in the first nine months of the fiscal year. The third quarter, which is usually rather weak, was more positive than expected. Cumulatively, incoming orders rose by 29% year-on-year to €171.8 million (previous year: €133.5 million), while sales rose by 23% to €168.0 million (previous year: €136.7 million). In a direct quarterly comparison, incoming orders were up 43% on the same quarter of the previous year and sales were up 29%. Despite negative currency effects, the gross profit margin increased by 1.4 percentage points to 47.8% (previous year: 46.4%). Due to lower cost structures, a significant increase in sales and an improvement in the gross profit margin, pre-tax earnings rose to €13.4 million (previous year: €-4.9 million), giving the company an EBT margin of 8.0% (previous year: -3.6%). Earnings after taxes amounted to €11.1 million (previous year: €-6.7 million). The markets for image processing components outside Europe developed slightly positively in the first nine months. The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) reports a nominal increase in sales of 9% for German manufacturers of image processing components at the end of September 2025 compared to the previous year. However, incoming orders in the industry fell by 1% in the same period. Basler thus performed significantly better than the German image processing components industry. This is mainly due to its strong global market presence and major projects won in China and the USA. Free cash flow, the difference between cash flow from operating activities and cash flow from investments, reached €12.4 million (previous year: €1.5 million). Based on the positive business development in the current fiscal year, management recently raised its forecast for fiscal year 2025. According to this, consolidated sales of between €220 million and €225 million (previously €202 million to €215 million) and a pre-tax margin of between 5.5% and 7.5% (previously 2% to 6%) are now expected for the Group.
