The issuer / publisher is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rapid growth of 2G continues - 2009 revenues have more than doubled to approximately 50M Euro - Distribution agreement for expansion into the Canadian Market Heek, 10 March 2010 - 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG (2G), a leading German manufacturer of combined heat and power plants, continues on its path to growth. According to preliminary numbers, with record revenues of approximately 50M Euro (2008: 21.2M Euro) the internal forecast as well as the market expectation was significantly exceeded. The Board therefore anticipates that 2009 results will top the estimates of analysts. More details regarding the 2009 financial year will be announced by the company in late March, together with the actual backlog. According to Christian Grotholt (CEO), it is already clear that 2G is heading into a new record year. Cooperation in Canada announced today Since mid-December 2009, 2G has an agreement with CENERGY Power Systems Technologies Inc. to expand its sales and service activities in the U.S. market. This is now being followed by a further important step in our expansion abroad. Today, at the Canadian show about green energy and the economy for the agricultural and food sectors, the '4th Annual Growing the Margins Conference & Exhibition in Ontario, the partnership between European Power Systems Ltd., Ontario, (EPS Ltd.) and 2G Bio -Energy Ltd. was announced. EPS Ltd., founded by Jan Buijk and Daniel Jones, two proven professionals with decades of industry experience, has the exclusive rights to sell and service 2G cogeneration (CHP) plants in the Canadian market. For Christian Grotholt, Canada and particularly the Province of Ontario offer an outstanding potential. On October 1, 2009, Ontario introduced a Feed in Tariff program that pays a premium for electricity from biogas and other renewable resources. The market segment of agricultural biogas plants is facing insufficient capacity of existing transmission power lines. As a result, remote areas, where farms are located, can only implement small and medium sized power plants. EPS Ltd. has chosen 2G as a partner because the German company holds an international leadership position in providing small and medium sized power plants. EPS management was especially impressed with the new biogas cogeneration system 'agenitor', that was introduced at the beginning of November 2009. Company Profiles 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG is one of Germany's leading suppliers of systems for decentralized energy supply. The company offers development, production, installation and servicing of cogeneration plants and integrated solutions in the growing market of high-efficiency combined heat and power, which in coming years will greatly benefit from the political will to battle climate change. EPS Ltd. is exclusively dedicated to the sale, service and maintenance of best in class, advanced gas engine power generation systems and balance of plant equipment. EPS Ltd. provides power generation solutions for On-site power, CHP, Demand Response, Landfill Gas, Biogas, Syngas and other gas engine applications, with sales, engineering, service, parts, and operation support provided across Canada.
