Cologne, December 28, 2017. SPORTTOTAL VENUES GmbH, a 100 % daughter company of SPORTTOTAL AG, has secured a pre-contract agreement to supply the technical equipment for a race track project in Naltschik, Russia. The value of the contract is estimated at around EUR 8 million for the first phase of construction which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018. SPORTTOTAL AG’s Venues Division will be responsible for race control, complete video surveillance of the race track, timekeeping, a media distribution system, start signal lights, electronic flags, radio links, voice over IP and the set-up of the entire data network. “We have once again overcome strong international competition to secure a highly challenging project,” remarked CTO Oliver Grodowski, who will implement the project with his team of experts from SPORTTOTAL  VENUES GmbH. In 2017, SPORTTOTAL AG implemented the first phase of construction for a race track project in Kuwait worth around EUR 8.5 million. The work is running to schedule. In 2014, the team completed a major project involving the implementation of technical equipment at the Formula 1 race track in Sochi.
