Mai 2000 – Die Openshop Holding AG hat die erste Akquisition nach dem erfolgreichen Börsengang am 21. März am Neuen Markt vollzogen: Mit der PSS Informationssysteme GmbH, Neu-Ulm, übernimmt der deutsche Hersteller von eCommerce-Standardsoftware ein junges und stark wachsendes Systemhaus zu 100 Prozent. Damit wird die Beratungs- und Consulting-Kompetenz von Openshop im wachsenden B-to-B-Segment bei ERP-Systemanbindungen deutlich gestärkt und der weitere Ausbau des stark expandierenden internationalen Netzwerks von Vertriebs- und Integrationspartnern gesichert. Damit sichert Openshop vor allem das Wachstum im strategisch wichtigen Bereich der Integration von Openshop-Technologien in Warenwirtschaftssysteme, in dem die Gruppe bereits rund die Hälfte des Umsatzes erzielt. Die 9 Mitarbeiter starke PSS Informationssysteme konzentriert sich auf die Geschäftsfelder Software/ERP- sowie Dokumenten- und Prozessmanagementsysteme. With PSS, a rapidly expanding start-up enterprise, Openshop – currently ranked second among the vendors of standard eCommerce solutions in Germany – has acquired its first 100% subsidiary in the IT systems segment. Its main focus on expert consulting services, PSS will strengthen Openshop’s position in the growing B2B market, especially in the area of ERP system integration. A further advantage of the takeover is the benefit for the Group’s rapidly expanding international network of sales and integration partners. In particular, the acquisition will provide a strong foundation for the Group’s continuing growth in a strategically vital business sector, which currently makes up roughly half the Group’s revenue: the integration of the flexible Openshop technology in ERP systems.
