Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG: Preliminary consolidated earnings for 2005 (IFRS)

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Unterschleissheim, February 14, 2006 In fiscal year 2005 Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG increased profit from ordinary activities about 175.4 % to EUR 11.1 million (previous year: EUR 4.0 million). This corresponds to earnings per share of EUR 0.35 (previous year: EUR 0.19). A dividend payout of EUR 0.18 per share (previous year: EUR 0.10) will be proposed to the annual general meeting on July 19, 2006. Shareholders’ equity amounted to EUR 127.1 million (previous year: EUR 112.4 million) at the end of the year. At the balance sheet date, the Group had 225 employees (previous year: 218 employees); the number of order books managed rose from 42,686 to 61,552. The capital markets services division advised 25 transactions with a total volume of almost EUR 90 million in 2005.
