AUGUSTA generates positive EBT
of EUR 13.6 million
Consolidated loss for the period amounts to EUR 2.6 million after
finalisation of restructuring
Frankfurt am Main, March 31 2006. Prime Standard member AUGUSTA Technologie
AG (ISIN DE000A0D6612) generated consolidated sales revenues amounting to
EUR 200.9 Mio. million (2004 adjusted for the deconsolidated Data Display
AG: EUR 189.3 million; 2004: EUR 219.3 million) in fiscal year 2005.
Segment results (accumulated earnings before tax of the single investments,
before holding costs) rose to a total of EUR 21.9 million (2004: EUR 14.9
million). The Sensor Systems division generated the highest segment
results, amounting to EUR 15.7 million (2004: EUR 12.0 million), an
increase of 30.8%. The segment result of the IT Systems division, amounting
to EUR 2.3 million, exceeded the comparable prior-year period adjusted for
the deconsolidated Data Display AG (2004 adjusted: EUR 2.0 million; 2004:
EUR 3.5 million). The Communication Systems division increased segment
results to EUR 3.9 million (2004: EUR -0.6 million).
All in all, earnings development of the operating investments as well as on
the Group level before discontinued operations improved. The AUGUSTA Group
generated EBITDA (earnings before depreciation, amortization, interest and
tax) of EUR 23.4 million (2004: EUR –0.8 million). EBIT (earnings before
interest and tax) improved to EUR 19.3 million (2004: EUR –4.7 million).
EBT (earnings before tax) amounted to EUR 13.6 million in 2005 (2004: EUR
–13.2 million). The deconsolidation of Pandatel AG is recorded in full in
the income statement under the ‘Result from discontinued operations after
tax’ in the amount of EUR-11.3 million (2004: EUR-15.7 million). As a
result, the profit before discontinued operations for fiscal year 2005 is
EUR 8.7 million (2004: loss of EUR 11.5 million). After discontinued
operations, the loss for the period amounts to EUR 2.6 million (2004 loss
for the period after discontinued operations: EUR 27.2 million).
The profit per share before discontinued operations amounted to EUR 1.16
(2004: loss of EUR 9.62). The loss per share after discontinued operations
amounted to EUR 0.34 (2004: loss of EUR 22.73).
As of December 31, 2005, the AUGUSTA Group’s booked business amounted to
EUR 86.0 million (December 31, 2004: EUR 81.3 million). Accumulated
incoming orders of EUR 208.8 million exceeded the adjusted prior-year
figures (December 31, 2004 adjusted for the deconsolidated Data Display AG:
EUR 191.5 million; 2004: EUR 216.1 million). The book-to-bill ratio of 1.0
was on a level with the previous year.
