Beattie Ltd., Ashington, GB Mit Wirkung zum 14. April 2000 hat die Phoenix AG, Hamburg, sämtliche Anteile an der K. & B. Beattie Ltd., Ashington, GB, erworben. K. & B. Beattie Ltd. ist Systempartner für Schlauchsysteme aus dem Bereich der Ölexploration. Den Kunden wird das komplette “Schlauchmanagement”, d.h. die Entwicklung, Herstellung, Installation der Leitungen, Schulung des Bedienpersonals auf den Plattformen sowie die regelmäßige Überwachung der Anlagen offeriert. Das Unternehmen verfügt neben seinem Hauptsitz in Ashington, nahe Newcastle, über Niederlassungen in Schottland, Kanada und den USA.Mit 70 Mitarbeitern erzielt K. & B. Beattie Ltd. einen Umsatz von ca. 16 Millionen EUR. Mit dem Erwerb des ausschließlich außerhalb der Bundesrepublik Deutschland tätigen Unternehmens verfolgt die Phoenix-Gruppe konsequent ihr Ziel einer weiteren Globalisierung. Künftig wird K. & B. Beattie Ltd. die weltweite Vertriebsverantwortung für das Segment Ölexplorationsschläuche der Phoenix-Gruppe übernehmen. Hamburg, 19. Beattie Ltd., Ashington, U.K., as of April 14, 2000. K. & B. Beattie Ltd. is a supplier of hose systems used for oil exploration. The new Phoenix acquisition offers customers complete “hose management” services, which includes everything from the development, production and installation of hoses to training for operational personnel on platforms as well as regular control of systems after installation. In addition to its main location in Ashington, which is near Newcastle, K. & B. Beattie also has locations in Scotland, Canada and the U.S.A. With a workforce of 70, the company generates revenues in the amount of approximately EUR16 million per year. With the acquisition of K. & B. Beattie, which operates exclusively outside Germany, Phoenix is pursuing ist strategic commitment to globalization. The new Phoenix subsidiary will assume complete responsibility for worldwide marketing activities in the area of hoses for oil exploration for the Phoenix Group.
