Brainpower & Lipper announce launch of
NetXceed for Fund Supermarkets at RBFT 2001
Retail Banking & Financial Technology Conference,
14/15 February, Olympia, London, Stand No. E54
Brainpower (Neuer Markt: BPW), provider of investment analysis and decision-
support software tools for the investment community today announced the launch
of another sales and distribution initiative with Lipper, Reuters global fund
information subsidiary. Together they will be promoting NetXceed for Funds
Supermarkets. The solution, which will be sold by Lipper along side its other
product lines, is based on the formidable combination of Brainpower’s NetXceed
family of analytical tools and Lipper’s huge database of funds.
NetXceed for Funds Supermarkets is aimed at professionals supplying an online
service to private investors, for instance, e-brokers, e-banks and online
financial service providers. It is hardware independent, so can be integrated
into with existing web sites quickly and easily. Brainpower’s analytical tools
are easy and intuitive to use and cover Lipper’s comprehensive database of funds
which includes many more Unit Trusts than most competitive products.
Stephen Lipper, Marketing Director at Lipper commented, “At Lipper we
specialise in supplying comprehensive, fund analysis and research for investment
professionals. The Brainpower tool set allows our clients and their investors to
reap the benefits of that information via a unique blend of in-depth
quantitative analysis and professional report presentation.”
“For the first time private investors with modest amounts to invest can
effectively have a personalised service,” explained Mark Wells, Chief Operating
Officer for Brainpower. “NetXceed offers proactive investment ideas for fund
picking, it allows the investor to monitor the funds they have, and compare
against other funds for potential investment. The system will suggest
alternative funds to those held and can give investment advice via a profiling
questionnaire.”
