The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– 9-month figures 01.01. – 30.09.2001 Berlin, November 30, 2001 – In Q3 2001 capital markets developed in a very negative way. In connection with the events of September 11 this often led to an examination of existing expectations and the revaluation of participations. In the case of sustained structural problems or difficulties relating to the general economic environment, AdCapital disposed of participations which had no prospects, even if this meant realising losses. Up to September 30, 2001 such special effects at AdCapital had a negative earnings impact in the group of some Euro 25 million, in the financial statements of AdCapital AG Euro 48 million. Due to the above-mentioned valuation adjustments and streamlining of the participation portfolio up to the third quarter, ordinary operations posted an accumulated negative result of Euro 17.6 million. In AdCapital AG a negative figure of Euro 46.8 million has accumulated. As of September 30, 2001 AdCapital thus posts a consolidated negative result of Euro 25.3 million and in the AG of Euro 46.6 million. While the total result is very unsatisfactory, the develop- ment of results in the operating area was generally satisfactory. As of September 30, 2001 a consolidated operating result of Euro 6.9 million was achieved after Euro 1.7 million in the previous year. If the loss-making activities which have since been disposed are eliminated, this would produce a positive operating result of Euro 9.4 million.Particularly due to the disposal of BESI in Q2 2000, Group sales were lower at Euro 210.8 million in the current financial year after Euro 260.3 million in the previous year. On a like for like basis sales increased slightly by 3% from Euro 204.6 million to Euro 210.8 million.
