The Company has entered into a letter of intent regarding the acquisition of MCTrustco. MCTrustco (www.mctrustco.com) is a Geneva-based asset management company with a highly profitable fund management business in both Switzerland and Luxembourg. MCTrustco’s size and value amount to approximately one third of Value Management & Research AG. The purchase price will be paid in newly issued shares for which the Company will use its authorised capital, as well as own shares repurchased for this purpose. The acquisition is still subject to supervisory board approval. The management board expects to close the transaction by October. Coming after the purchase of the majority of Interinvest S.a.r.l during the first half of this year, the planned acquisition of MCTrustco will further strengthen the Company’s existing Luxembourg fund business and will mark a strong entry into the important Swiss market. The acquisition will be a decisive step in the ongoing process of focussing the Company’s operations on high-margin asset management.
