AURELIUS AG / Key word(s): Acquisition 19.11.2010 18:48 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- AURELIUS acquires KemFine UK Ltd - Further acquisition in special chemistry - Fourth acquisition by AURELIUS this year Munich, 19 November 2010 - Munich-based industrial holding AURELIUS AG (ISIN: DE000A0JK2A8) has today acquired the chemical company KemFine UK Ltd based in Grangemouth, Scotland, from the Finnish KemFine Group Oy. KemFine UK Ltd is a leading producer of fine chemicals for renowned clients in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and speciality chemical sectors. The company offers a range of manufacture from development to large-scale production. It also provides a range of services to other companies adjacent to its site in Grangemouth. This includes electricity and steam supply as well as wastewater treatment. In 2009 KemFine UK Ltd recorded annual sales of £41 million and has approximately 200 employees. Ulf Björkqvist, CEO of KemFine Group Oy, said: 'KemFine Group Oy is happy to confirm the sale of KemFine UK Ltd to AURELIUS and believes that AURELIUS is a good, long-term owner for its Grangemouth Scotland activities.' AURELIUS plans to focus the business on the extension of its contract manufacturing by expanding its product portfolio and acquiring new projects. First meetings with customers have been very positive. The service sector will be supported by selected investments. A first measure is the planned increase of the current wastewater treatment plant's capacity and the expansion of a cogeneration plant based on renewable fuel. After its spin-off from the KemFine Group Oy the company will operate under a new name. The purchase price and terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
