AURELIUS completes acquisition of IDS Getronics

– T-Systems IDS Individual Desktop Solutions renamed IDS Getronics

– Move takes AURELIUS’ IT activity to new level

– Fifth acquisition in 2014 completed – pipeline remains well filled

Munich, October 1, 2014 – The AURELIUS Group (ISIN DE000A0JK2A8) completed the acquisition of IDS Getronics (formerly known as Individual Desktop Solutions GmbH (IDS)) when the contract was closed on September 30, 2014. IDS Getronics forms part of the IT activity at AURELIUS, taking its operations in Germany to a new level with the strong customer base enjoyed by IDS in all industrial sectors, including several DAX-listed companies and public-sector institutions.

The close partnership will enable the services provided by IDS to remain an important part of the full portfolio offered by T-Systems International going forward. By stepping up the strategic cooperation with T-Systems in the field of desktop services and solutions and absorbing a highly qualified workforce, AURELIUS/Getronics is making the perfect addition to its existing activities in the German ICT sector. The aims are to grow the business with higher value, higher margin services and to increase the revenues from desktop solutions business with third party customers. In this context, IDS Getronics is set to concentrate more heavily on trends like cloud solutions, virtual workplaces and data security in the future.

Dr. Dirk Markus, CEO of Aurelius commented: “The purchase of IDS is the fifth acquisition we’ve successfully completed so far this year. I anticipate more deal activity over the forthcoming months, and our transaction pipeline is pretty well filled.”
