September 2000: BETA Systems Software AG (Neuer Markt:BSS) gibt heute den Abschluss einer Vertriebsvereinbarung ihrer hundertprozentigen Tochtergesellschaft Tantia Technologies, Inc., mit Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) bekannt. Im Rahmen dieser Vereinbarung wird HP Tantia’s Harbor Backup und Tantia’s File Transfer anbieten und an seine Kunden weltweit vermarkten. Mit der Akquisition von HARBOR Systems Management, Ltd., im Dezember 1998 hat BETA Systems seine Storage Management Produktlinie erweitert, die nun unter Tantia Technologies, Inc., Boulder, Colorado firmiert. Tantia’s Harbor Backup bietet Datensicherung und schnelles Wiederherstellen von Daten in Multi- Plattform-Umgebungen. Tantia’s File Transfer ermöglicht Hochgeschwindigkeits- Datentransfer in Storage Area Networks (SAN) und verbindet OS/390- und Open Systems-Server. Beide Tantia-Produkte werden ein integraler Bestandteil von HP’s Storage Area Networking Lösung. Die Tantia-Produkte werden dabei zusammen mit HP’s XP-Serie von Disk-Array Subsystemen, einer marktführenden High-End Storage-Plattform mit aussergewöhnlicher Performance und Skalierbarkeit, vermarket. Diese Vereinbarung stellt einen bedeutenden Meilenstein für BETA Systems dar und unterstreicht die konsequente Umsetzung der Strategie des Unternehmens, sich im Vertrieb der Tantia-Produkte auf etablierte und weltweit führende Hardware-Hersteller und Application Service Provider zu konzentrieren. (HP) in which HP will offer Tantia’s Harbor Backup and Tantia’s File Transfer software to its enterprise customers worldwide. BETA Systems enhanced its Storage Management product line through the acquisition of HARBOR Systems Management, Ltd., in December 1998 – now acting as Tantia Technologies, Inc., out of Boulder, Colorado. Tantia’s Harbor Backup provides information backup and fast restore in cross-platform computing environments. Introduced in July this year, Tantia’s File Transfer enables high-speed transfer of data in Storage Area Networks (SAN) connecting OS/390 and open-system servers. Both products will become an integral part of HP’s enterprise Storage Area Networking offering and were chosen to be coupled with HP’s XP family of disk-array subsystems, an industry-leading, high-end storage platform that provides extraordinary performance and scalability to support truly heterogeneous operating environments. This agreement is another major milestone for the company and demonstrates the consistent execution of BETA Systems’ strategy to focus on the distribution of its Tantia products through established worldwide hardware vendors and application service providers. The reseller agreement follows a similar and successfully implemented agreement with Hitachi Data Systems.
