Bad Wurzach, October 23rd, 2015 – The container glass producer Saint-Gobain Oberland AG, known under the brand name Verallia, is reorganizing its business unit production facilities. Effective January 1st, 2016, GPS Glasproduktions-Service GmbH will become independent via Management-Buy-Out (MBO).
The current General Manager Rolf Themann is taking over the responsibility for the medium-sized company. He was able to convince high performance and long-term-oriented private investors with business background.
The business unit production facilities represented 3,6 % of the turnover of Saint-Gobain Oberland AG. The purchase price was not disclosed. Since 90 years, GPS Glasproduktions-Service GmbH is developing and producing IS-Machines and components for the container glass production worldwide. The strategic objective remains: IS-Machines, Spare-parts, Services.
