Villeroy & Boch Takes Over Acomo Belgium
An agreement in principle has been signed by Villeroy & Boch AG and Acomo
Holding NV, which will allow Villeroy & Boch to acquire a majority interest in
the Belgian company, Acomo Belgium. This agreement is also still subject to
approval by the competent Cartel Authorities.
Acomo Belgium is a subsidiary of Acomo Holding, whose major shareholders are the
company Trust Capital Partners, listed in Brussels and GIMV, Antwerpen. Acomo
Belgium’s head office is in Roeselare (Belgium). The company manufactures high-
quality synthetic sanitary-ware products such as baths, whirlpools, shower and
steam cubicles. Supported by its 160 employees, the company secured sales of
Euro 22 million in the previous financial year. Both of the parties concerned
have agreed to maintain silence regarding the purchase price involved in this
transaction.
Villeroy & Boch’s take-over of Acomo Belgium serves to strengthen both
companies’ competitive position in the bathroom-furnishing sector. For Villeroy
& Boch in particular, this acquisition signifies not only a consistent expansion
of activities in the growth-oriented Wellness Division, but also a further
strengthening of its international position.
