Seit dem Einstieg eines institutionellen Investors Ende 1996 verfolgt die boeder Gruppe eine agressive europaweite Expansionsstrategie mit dem Ziel, ihre Marktführerschaft im Bereich Multimedia-Zubehör auszubauen. Für das laufende Geschäftsjahr (30. Juni 2000) erwartet die Gruppe, die europaweit ca. 290 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt, einen Umsatz von ca. DM 200 Mio. Das jährliche Wachstum der Gruppe von über 20 % pro Jahr zeigt, daß die Strategie “boeder goes Europe” mit nunmehr 8 europäischen Standorten sehr erfolgreich war. Inzwischen erzielt die Gruppe ca. 65% ihres Umsatzes im europäischen Ausland. Das Produktspektrum der Gesellschaft umfaßt Sound Systems, Scanner, PC-Karten, PC-Cameras, CD-Laufwerke, Disketten und Zubehörprodukte wie ergonomische Arbeitshilfen und eine große Auswahl an Spezialpapieren. Unter der Führung von Gabriela Revel, die Im August 1999 den Vorsitz in der Geschäftsführung der Gruppe übernommen hat, wurde eine noch stärkere Fokussierung auf den Markennamen “boeder” eingeleitet. Hiernach soll der hohe europäische Bekanntheitsgrad von boeder bei den Endverbrauchern noch weiter ausgebaut und die Produktpalette um neues, technisch anspruchsvolles Multimedia-Zubehör ergänzt werden. Das Unternehmen plant, das erfolgreiche Wachstum der Vergangenheit zu intensivieren. Ziel ist es, den Gruppenumsatz innerhalb weniger Jahre auf deutlich über DM 350 Mio. zu erhöhen. Um diese starke Wachstumsstrategie verfolgen zu können, wurde die Kapitalbasis der Gesellschaft signifikant erhöht. In diesem Zusammenhang hat PCI Parcom Partners, ein niederländischer Finanzinvestor, der von Palladion Partners Frankfurt betreut wird, seine, über eine zwischengeschaltete Holdinggesellschaft seit 1996 gehaltene, Mehrheitsposition weiter ausgebaut. Auch Frau Revel hat Anteile an der Holdinggesellschaft übernommen. Darüber hinaus hat sich die Vivanco AG, Ahrensburg, über die Holdinggesellschaft indirekt mit 18.6 % an boeder beteiligt. Die verbleibenden 25 % an der Gesellschaft werden von der Cent Holding AG, Flörsheim, gehalten. Die Übernahme einer Minderheitsbeteiligung durch Vivanco dokumentiert den Beginn einer strategischen Partnerschaft zwischen boeder und Vivanco mit dem Ziel, die Position beider Gruppen in einem stark wachsenden und dynamischen europäischen Markt zu stärken. Ahrensburg, den 22.10.1999 ———————- Vivanco Acquires Interest in boeder Establishment of a Strategic Partnership Vivanco AG, Ahrensburg has acquired an indirect interest of 18,6 % in boeder Holding GmbH, Eschborn in the course of a capital increase. Since an institutional investor acquired an interest at the end of 1996, the boeder group has pursued an aggressive Europe-wide expansion strategy with the objective to increase its market leadership in the area of multi-media accessories. For the current financial year (30 June 2000) the group, which has approximately 290 employees all over Europe, expects sales of some DM 200 million. The group’s annual growth of 20% proves that its “boeder goes Europe” strategy, which has resulted in a total of eight European locations by now, has been very successful. Presently, approx. 65% of the group’s turnover is generated by its European subsidiaries. The company’s product range includes sound systems, scanners, PC cards, PC cameras, CD drives, diskettes and accessories such as ergonomical work tools and a wide choice of special papers. Under the leadership of Gabriela Revel, who became the group’s CEO in August 1999, the group started to focus even more on the “boeder” brand name. The aims are to raise the already high brand awareness of boeder among end users in Europe and to expand the range of products with new sophisticated multi-media accessories. The company intends to intensify the successful growth process of the past. The objective is to increase the group sales within a few years to considerably more than DM 350 million. To be able to pursue this strong growth strategy the company has raised its capital base significantly. Thus, PCI Parcom Partners, a Dutch financial investment company, which receives consulting report from Palladion Partners Frankfurt, has increased its majority interest which it has held since 1996 through a holding company. Ms. Revel has also taken over a share of the holding company. In addition, Vivanco AG, Ahrensburg has acquired an indirect interest of 18.6 % in boeder through the holding. The remaining 25 % of the company belong to Cent Holding AG, Flörsheim. Vivanco’s taking over a minority interest is the beginning of a strategic partnership between boeder and Vivanco with the objective of strengthening the positions of both groups in a rapidly growing and dynamic European market.
