WashTec: Preliminary results in line with forecast

– Group revenues with EUR 299.7m stable

– EBITDA at EUR 27.1m

– EBIT at EUR 17.1m

Augsburg, February 3, 2014 – According to preliminary results, WashTec Group – the leading supplier of innovative solutions for car wash worldwide – has achieved its target for 2013 of revenues at prior year’s level with an EBIT margin of five to six percent: Group revenues are at EUR 299.7m (prior year: EUR 301.5m). Preliminary earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) are at EUR 27.1m (prior year: EUR 29.2m). Preliminary earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) are at EUR 17.1m (prior year: EUR 19.2m) which equals an EBIT margin of 5.7%. Adjusted by foreign exchange effects, revenues with EUR 303.7m are slightly above prior year and EBIT margin with 6.0% is at the top of the forecasted range. The North America segment contributes to the group result with a significant positive result.
As of end of 2013 order backlog was below prior year.

Despite a payment of a dividend plus a special dividend in the total amount of EUR 8.1 Mio. EUR, net financial debt (net bank debt plus long and short-term finance leasing) was reduced by EUR 5.4m to EUR 2.9m (prior year: EUR 8.3m). By the end of 2013, before being due, a new consortium agreement with a revolving line of credit of EUR 50.0m at ‘investment grade’ conditions and a term of five years was entered into.
