Senator shifts over to the Regulated Market
Since January 29, 1999, Senator Entertainment AG has been listed on the stock
exchange, included in the NEMAX 50 from its very beginning. As has been decided
by the governing bodies of the Deutsche Börse, the Neue Markt is to be
discontinued.
Senator has decided to withdraw from the Neue Markt and remain listed in the
Regulated Market. The strategic growth possibilities and the current general
cost-saving program comprising the focus of company policy can be reached more
easily in this way, also in the view of many investors. Independent of the
developments in the stock markets, Senator will continue to build up its
national and international core competences.
The high costs in connection with the Neue Markt’s requirements contradict the
overall valuation of entire sectors by investors since essential differentiation
is not made. The share prices are increasingly oriented toward the respective
direction of large capital flows. The experiences in the Neue Markt have also
shown that market typical mechanisms have led, in part, to irrational valuation
distortions. The current market conditions thereby prevent confidence in
enterprises which continue investing.
