4SC AG – a Landmark in the Land of Ideas 2007

Planegg-Martinsried, Germany 15 December 2006 – The drug discovery and development company 4SC AG, (Frankfurt, Prime Standard: VSC) based in Martinsried, Germany, has been selected as a ‘Landmark in the Land of Ideas 2007’.
Among more than 1,500 applicants, the company has been selected as one of those 365 landmarks that is allowed to present itself under the sponsorship of the Federal President in the coming year within the framework of the ‘Germany – Land of Ideas’ initiative.
4SC AG will make its laboratories accessible to the general public on 14 August 2007 under the title ‘The digital test tube’ and provide insight into how active agents are researched and developed to fight against numerous, serious illnesses with the aid of an innovative, computer-based technology platform.

The ‘Germany – Land of Ideas’ initiative first came into being upon the occasion of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Due to its great success, 365 landmarks have again been selected for 2007 in a competition held nationwide; these landmarks will each have one day in the year to present their ideas and innovations to the public. In this case, a ‘landmark’ in the land of ideas is not necessarily a city or a town in the geographical or political sense. Rather it is anywhere ‘where ideas come into existence, are developed and promoted or where the memory of great inventions and ideas are preserved’. The initiative is being sponsored by the Federal Government and business in cooperation with the Deutsche Bank.

‘We accept with pride the selection of 4SC AG as a landmark of ideas in 2007, seeing it as a special honour for the innovative energy of our entire team,’ Ulrich Dauer, CEO of 4SC AG, commented.
