Hamburg, 3 August, 2009. The Annual General Meeting of ZhongDe Waste
Technology AG [Ticker ZEF] was held at the Steigenberger Hotel in Hamburg
on 31 July, 2009. 66.2 per cent of voting capital was represented.
As a result of the satisfactory business development with an increase in
net profit of 17.3 per cent to EUR 22.4 million in 2008, a stable dividend
of 0.15 Euro was proposed and approved by shareholders.
Besides the dividend payment, the Annual General Meeting approved all the
other items including the creation of new authorized capital and the
authorization to issue convertible bonds with a high majority: All
proposals of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board were
confirmed with a majority of more than 80 per cent.
Zefeng Chen, founder and CEO of ZhongDe Waste Technology AG, is convinced
of the future company success: 'The market for waste incineration in China
continues to be very attractive, despite the influences of the
international financial crisis and the worldwide recession. One reason is
the growing awareness of Chinese government for environmental concerns.
With our strategic shift to large-scale waste-to-energy incineration plants
