LEGEND HOLD<0992> - Share Subdivision

Market participants are requested to note that the shareholders of Legend 
Holdings Limited ("Legend") have approved the subdivision of shares on the 
basis of 1 existing ordinary share ("Old Shares") of Legend into 4 new 
ordinary shares ("New Shares").  Effective from today (8/3/2000), a 
temporary counter under stock code 2982 and stock short name "LEGEND HOLD" 
will be established for trading in board lots of 8,000 New Shares each to 
replace the previous counter (stock code: 992) for trading in board lots 
of 2,000 Old Shares each.
