TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 14 August 2023 it transferred 202 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 888 pence. Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 1,597,971 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 150,462,319 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
