Diageo announces appointment to its Board of Directors

Diageo announces the appointment of John Rishton as a Non-Executive Director, effective 1 November 2025.

John has over 40 years' business experience in a variety of roles, companies and industries, including nearly 14 years as a Chief Executive or Chief Financial Officer. He is currently chair of Informa plc, as well as serving as chair of Serco Group PLC, from which he will retire on 31 December 2025.

His executive roles include Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Group plc from 2011 to 2015 and Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Executive and President of Royal Ahold NV, the Dutch multinational supermarket group, from 2006 to 2011. John was also Chief Financial Officer of British Airways plc from 2001 to 2005, having previously held a number of finance, commercial and operational roles at British Airways in the US and UK, having joined in 1994. Prior to joining British Airways, John held various finance roles at Ford Motor Company in the UK, Spain and Portugal.

John has extensive experience in non-executive roles, including at Unilever, Associated British Ports, Allied Domecq, Majid Al Futtaim and ICA Gruppen.

On appointment, John will also join the Board's Audit and Nomination Committees.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.15, Diageo confirms that there are no further details to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
