Saudi Arabian Mining Company MAADEN announces that its subsidiary Maaden Phosphate Company MPC shut down the Ammonia plant located in Companys complex at Ras Al Khair city. The unscheduled shutdown which is related to technical repairs starts from 01/04/2013G corresponding 20/05/1434H and will take approximately two weeks.
The Ammonia plant produces ammonia which is used in manufacturing of Diammonium Phosphate DAP. The shutdown will have no impact on the Companys ability to meet its obligations towards its customers. At the same time, the DAP plant will continue producing continuously using the ammonia inventory. Thus, the shutdown will have no significant financial impact.
Any new developments regarding this issue will be announced in due course.
