SAUDI ARABIAN MINING COMPANY (MAADEN) ANNOUNCES LATEST DEVELOPMENT ON A FIRE THAT BROKE OUT AT THE PHOSPHATE ROCK UNLOADING BELT AT MAADEN PHOSPAHTE COMPANY (MPC)

Further to the companys announcement on Tadawul on 18/11/1434H (corresponding to 24/09/2013G), the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announces on Sunday 26/12/1435H (corresponding to 29/12/2013G) the completion of the repairs and the restart at the phosphate rock unloading belt.

Due to Maadens business continuity planning and risk mitigations, this stoppage had no significant financial impact and no effect on Maadens ability to meet its obligations to its customers.

MPC is a limited liability company co-owned by (Maaden) (70%) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) (30%).
