Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announces that its subsidiary Maaden Phosphate Company (MPC) will shut down its Ammonia plant which is located in Company complex at Ras Al Khair city for a scheduled maintenance. This maintenance shutdown will start from 23/01/2015G (corresponding to 03/04/1436H) and will take approximately 30 days.
The Ammonia plant produces ammonia used in the manufacturing of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP). During the shutdown, the DAP plant will maintain production using existing ammonia inventory. Thus, the maintenance will have no impact on the Companys ability to meet its obligations towards its customer and will have no significant financial impact.
Any new developments regarding this matter will be announced in due course.
MPC is a limited liability company co-owned by (Maaden) (70%) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) (30%).
