Methanol Chemicals Company announces the beginning of the planned shutdown of its Methanol & Dimethylformamide plants. The scheduled maintenance activity would be carried out for the purpose of replacing near expiry catalysts and would commence from Wednesday 21st Jummada II, 1434 H corresponding to 01st May, 2013 for a period of around 25 days. Correspondingly, operations for both plants would be temporarily suspended during the shutdown period.
The company has taken appropriate measures to ensure that this planned maintenance does not affect the operations of other Chemanol plants. Upon completion of the maintenance work of the aforementioned plants, the company shall announce resumption of commercial operations for the plants. The financial impact of this shutdown shall be reflected appropriately in the financial results of Q2, 2013.
