Further to Saudi Ceramic Company announcement on 31/03/2016 regarding start of trial production in the Second Sanitary Ware Plant project, the company announces that it has finished trial production phase and started commercial production on 25/6/2016.
The estimated cost in the beginning of the project and before the contract commitments was 120 million for the first phase, which included production capacity of 18,000 tons per year and the buildings and machinery and equipment relating to the first phase.
In addition, due to meeting changing market needs, and meeting the factory energy needs, additional modern machinery and equipment were added to address these needs. By doing this, a significant portion of phase two was completed.
With this, the expected production capacity with the additions will be 25,000 tons per year with a cost of 210 million Saudi riyals.
Furthermore, and as per the additions made, the expected revenues for the project will increase from 75 million to 140 million with full capacity and new product mix, and its financial impact will commence from the third quarter results of this year 2016.
