1. The net income for the First quarter 2013 was SR 355.4 Million, compared to net income of SR 524.4 Million in the same period last year, a decrease of 32.2% and compared to SR 242 Million for the previous quarter, an Increase of 46.9%.
2. Gross income for the first quarter was SR 1,374.8 Million compared to SR 1,563.2 Million for the same quarter last year, a decrease of 12.1%.
3. Income from operations for the first quarter was SR 900.5 Million compared to SR 1,162 Million in same period last year, a decrease of 22.5% .
4. Earnings per share during the three months amounts to SR 0.53 compared to SR 0.78 in the same period last year.
5. The reasons for the decrease of profits during the first quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter of 2012 mainly were due to a drop in the sale price of Titanium Dioxide product, in addition to Increase in the general and administrative expenses as well as a decrease in other income resulting from foreign currency differences.
6. The reasons for the Increase of profits during the first quarter of 2013 compared to the fourth quarter of 2012 mainly were due to Increase of sales quantity in petrochemical sector and Titanium Dioxide in addition to an increase in profit margins in petrochemical sector due to increase of sale prices and also a decrease in finance cost resulting from refinance relate to subsidiary company.
7. Some figures of income statement for 2012 have been reclassified.
