Dr. Waheeb A. Linjawi, Managing Director and Group President Saudi Cable Company has said that during the last few days the Company has won a number of contracts in the market amounting to SR 87.56 million. These include a contract signed with an Islamic country for supply of High Voltage cables worth SR 35.62 million; another with a neighbouring country for supply of Medium Voltage cables worth SR 18.75 million; and, a third with a North African country for supply of Medium/High Voltage cables worth SR 33.19 million. Dr. Waheeb added that the flow of orders continues, lending support to the Company's plans to increase production capacity so as to be able to handle large projects with ease so as to bring better returns for the shareholders. It may be mentioned that the Company held the Ordinary General Assembly (OGA) of its shareholders on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, wherein the shareholders got acquainted with the marked growth in the Company's performance and approved all the resolutions that were tabled with 100% voting in favour.
