Saudi Cable Company wins project to supply & install Super-high voltage 380 kV cables worth about SR 83 million

Dr. Waheeb A. Linjawi, Group President & Managing Director of Saudi Cable Company has announced that the Company has won on 28/11/2008, a turnkey project for supply and installation of Super-high voltage 380 kV under-ground cables for the Turkish Electricity Company, amid tough global competition that included large cable manufacturers of the world.

The value of the project is about SR 83 million, financed by the World Bank whose high standards of technical and financial requirements to be fulfilled by the companies implementing the projects are well known.

It may be mentioned here that Saudi Cable Company is one of the eight cable manufacturers of the world who have the capability to produce and install this type of Super-high voltage cables (380 kV).

Dr. Linjawi added that the Companys success in winning this project indicates the enormous trust the Company commands among global financing agencies in the field of Super-high voltage cables supply and installation projects.

The expected inflow of contracts will bring promise of a bright future to the benefit of all Saudi Cable Company shareholders.
