Saudi Chemical Company Holding Announces Signing Acquisition Agreement for Rights to Eli Lilly’s Cialis in Saudi Arabia.

Announcement Detail Saudi Chemical Company Holding (SCCH) and Eli Lilly on December 27, 2021 signed an acquisition agreement, whereby SCCH will acquire all prescription rights of Cialis (5mg and 20mg) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is to be noted that the completion of the transaction is conditional on the approval of relevant government bodies.

Cialis is used to treat men with erectile dysfunction and also used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate gland that is not cancerous); and through this acquisition, AJA Pharmaceutical Industries (AJA Pharma), a subsidiary of (SCCH), would become the manufacturer and supplier for Cialis in the Saudi market. Cialis annual revenues in Saudi Arabia expected to reach around SAR 100 Mn (USD 26.7 Mn).
