Zamil Air Conditioners, a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Company Zamil Industrial, has been awarded a contract by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education (MOE) for the supply of Window type air conditioning units, to be used in the educational expansion initiative now underway at several girls schools around the Kingdom.
The products that will be supplied to this project are specifically designed for MOE with mandated High Energy Efficiency, performance requirements and special features. It may be noted that MOE is one of the early adopters of Energy conservation programs in the Kingdom and these units will save significant energy due to its high Energy efficiency ratio.
The value of this prestigious contract is set at approximately SAR 51 million (USD 13.6 million). The company will manufacture and supply more than 25,500 RAC units with a cooling capacity of 2-ton each, and expects to complete delivery of the products by the end of November 2009.
The agreement and product order, awarded on Monday 24 August 2009, is expected to impact the Companys financial statements in a positive manner by the first quarter of 2010.
The agreement to supply and deliver room air conditioning units to the government schools across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the latest in a long sequence of similar contracts successfully fulfilled by Zamil Air Conditioners.
