Further to the announcement by Zamil Industrial Investment Company (Zamil Industrial) posted on Tadawul yesterday (18/07/2010) of its consolidated interim financial results for the period ending 30 June 2010, the company would like to clarify to its shareholders and the public the reason behind the decrease of its Gross Profit during the first half by 1.5 percent was mainly due to lower selling prices and hence lower sales value despite recording growth in production and sales volumes. On the other hand, Operating Profits decreased by 16 percent as at 30 June 2010 because of increased Selling & Distribution Expenses and Administration & Engineering Expenses which was a result of higher production and sales volumes.
