Element EXPLAINATION
Reasons of annual financial results Decrease in the company’s net profit during year 2013 compared to the previous year is due to:
The decrease in General and Administrative expenses by 28 % compared to the previous year
The decrease in Sales and Marketing expenses by 72 % compared to the previous year
The increase in the company's share in the net profits of equity associates
The decrease in Zakat expenses by 42 % compared to the previous year

This comes in spite of the overall decline in gross profit and income from Murabaha deposits and other income during the current year compared to the previous year
Reclassifications in annual financial results Certain figures of previous year have been reclassified to be in line with the current year presentation.
Other notes The difference between the results of 2013’s annual income statement and those of 2013’s fourth quarter is due to the recalculation of the zakat pool of one of Knowledge Economic City’s subsidiaries.
It should be noted that the loss per share for the current year amounted to SAR 0.001 compared to SAR 0.077 for the previous year.
