Arabian Centres Co. announces latest developments regarding the partial and temporary closure of its shopping centres sees partial reopening amid temporary relaxation of containment measures

Introduction In reference to the Company’s announcement of 16 March 2020 on the Tadawul website regarding the partial and temporary closures of its shopping centres in compliance with the Government’s precautionary measures to contain the novel coronavirus, and with reference to the Royal Decree of 26 April 2020 partially lifting the Kingdom-wide curfew (except in Makkah) and allowing the resumption of certain economic activities (Shopping Centres) from 09:00 to 17:00 for the period from 29 April to 13 May 2020 (6 to 20 Ramadan, 1441H), Arabian Centres announces the partial reopening of its shopping centres for the duration of the abovementioned period, with the exception of Makkah Mall.

It is worth noting that the reopened shopping centres will operate in accordance with updated government guidelines regarding practice in the areas of public health and safety. Meanwhile, entertainment facilities, cinemas, gyms, beauty salons and clinics, and food and beverage outlets will remain shut for the duration of this temporary relaxation of containment measures. Comprehensive health and safety measures will be enforced for the duration of the period, including mandatory temperature checks, face masks and hand sanitization at centres entrances as well as additional physical distancing requirements.
