FOR THE FIRST QUARTER ENDED 31 MARCH 2013 AL-JOUF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (AL-JOUF) ANNOUNCES ITS INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS:
1)The net profit for the first quarter ended 31 march 2013 amounted to SAR 8.13 million, an increase of 14.62% compared to the same period last year (SAR 7.10 million) and an decrease of 79.78 % compared to the last quarter 2012(SAR 40.20 million).
2)The total gross profit for the first quarter ended 31 march 2013 amounted to SAR 14.30 million, an increase of 38.82% compared to the same period last year (SAR 10.30 million).
3)The operating profit for the first quarter ended 31 march 2013 amounted to SAR 3.97 million, an increase of 32.38% compared to the same period last year (SAR 3.00 million).
4)The earnings per share (EPS) for the three months ended 31 march 2013 was SAR 0.33 compared to the same period last year (SAR 0.28 for the prior year)
5) Cause of high profits for the same period last year due to the increased value of sales for a period of the quarter to SAR 38 million compared to SAR 36.23 million Saudi Riyals and Lower the cost of some products.
6) Cause of low profits for the last quarter 2012, all crops are still in the process of growth and the results will appear in the next quarter 2013
7) Revenues include the value of sales of capital assets SAR 4.40 million during the first quarter 2013
