Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) announces that it has received a letter from Etisalat UAE, a shareholder on 25/02/2015 to replace its representative in Mobily Board of Directors, Engineer. Khalid Omar Al Kaf (Non-Executive Member) and the appointment of Engineer/ Khalifa Al Shamsi (Non-Executive Member) of the Board of Directors effective on 25/02/2015. Noting that Engineer Khalid Omar Al Kaf submitted his resignation letter to the Board of Directors on 21/02/2015.
Engineer/ Khalifa Al Shamsi was appointed as Chief Digital Services Officer of the Etisalat Group in 2012. Prior to this role since joining Etisalat in 1993 held various key senior positions including Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy, Chief Marketing officer & Chief Business officer of Etisalat UAE.
Engineer/ Al Shamsi serves on the Boards of Etisalat Afghanistan and chairman of E-vision. Engineer/ Al Shamsi has a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, USA.
This appointment shall be presented to the shareholders of the company in their next general assembly meeting for approval.
