Sales forecast revised / Profit expected
Despite continuing general economic crisis and restrictive buying policy of the
public sector in Europe the PRIME standard listed CeoTronics AG Audio Video Data
Communication (ISIN: DE0005407407) has done well in the current business year
(June 1, 2002 – May 31, 2003) and still expects a profit.
The company has revised its sales forecast for the current business year running
from 15.2 m Euro to 13.5 m Euro . Considering this correction, sales will only
be slightly less than of last year (13,86 m Euro).
Even if several time delayed orders from the public authorities will show up
during the next weeks due to reasons of production technology these orders can
not be invoiced till the end on the running business year (May 31, 2003).

Issuer’s information/explanatory remarks concerning this ad-hoc-announcement:
The marketing of digital, mobile radio networks and headsets as well as the new
positioning of CeoTronics “…more than just headsets” will be continued. The
necessary investment into research and development as well as the preparation
for serial production are almost completed. The radio systems based on CT-DECT
are already available for many different practical applications for police,
military and industry and are for mobile deployment. CeoTronics is participating
in various tenders for such systems as well as in tenders for high profile
helm communications systems for special applications. In all these efforts
CeoTronics is taking advantage of its global sales structure. With this in mind
the company is optimistic about the mid-range sales forecast.
In Europe and also in the countries willing to join the EU and aiming to reach
the criteria of the Euro currency, we are seeing extreme small public budgets,
incl. wide spread restrictions on public spending.
Also due to the world wide economic crisis and the threat of an war with Irak
the industrial sector is very cautious to spend money.
The assumption of CeoTronics, that for the equipment of special forces of
military and the police there is a need and budgets are foreseen has become
true.
In the future, CeoTronics will adapt its cost structure to potential sales
with flexibility to stick to the strategy “profit before growth” especially in
difficult times like these.
“With innovative products CeoTronics is placed on stable footing, having very
good chances for substantial sales success in the mid-range perspective. A
short-time dip in the period of growth will not stop us from following our way,”
says CeoTronics CEO, Thomas H. Günther.
