The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— DCI AG publishes Q2 2005 figures Result Q2 / 2005 better than Q2 / 2004 Starnberg, July 25, 2005. DCI AG announces today it’s the result for the Q2 2005 and HY1 2005. The Group’s consolidated operating Q2 result amounted to a loss of EUR 231k, which is EUR 218k better than in the comparable quarter of the previous year (loss of EUR 449k). On a half-year basis the Group reports a loss of EUR 440k, compared to EUR 168k in HY1 / 2004. This is widely due to the effect that the Q1 / 2004 result profited extraordinarily from the reversal of accruals of EUR 664k because of a won lawsuit. On a quarterly basis, Group sales totaled EUR 602k after EUR 702k in Q1/2004 (minus 14.3%). Compared to Q1/2005 with sales of EUR 660k, the slump in sales was only 9%. HY1 / 2005 sales were EUR 1,262k (HY1 / 2004: EUR 1,532k), a downturn of – 17.6%. Cost reductions lowered operating expenditure from EUR 845k in Q2/2004 to the current figure of EUR 660k (Q2/2005). The half-year reduction is -23.4% (HY1 / 2005: EUR 1,300k, HY1 / 2004: EUR1,696k. As of June 30, 2005, the Group had cash and cash equivalents of EUR 1,714k, of this disposable EUR 1,596k (HY1 / 2004: EUR 2,542k, of this disposable 2,435k).Equity capital is EUR 1,746k (HY1 /2004: EUR 2,373k; end of year 2004: EUR 2,183k). The business figures have been ascertained according to IFRS (unaudited), the comparable figures of HY1/2004 have been lead over from US-GAAP to IFRS accordingly.
