Lohne, Germany, June 19, 2007 – EnviTec Biogas GmbH, headquartered in Lohne
in the German state of Lower Saxony, today announced that it plans to go
public in July 2007. The company intends to be listed in the Prime Standard
segment of the Official Market on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The
majority of shares to be offered will result from a capital increase.
Additional shares will be provided by the company's founders.
Reorganization into a stock corporation is scheduled for June 2007.
Dresdner Kleinwort will act as lead manager and sole bookrunner for the
IPO.

The proceeds from the IPO will be used to finance the company's further
growth. EnviTec intends to step up the construction of biogas plants
especially outside of Germany and to self-operate more proprietary biogas
plants together with partners in other countries. Already today, EnviTec is
represented through its own subsidiaries, joint ventures, or sales offices
in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the
Ukraine and India. In Croatia and Romania, the company is already in the
process of planning and constructing biogas plants. EnviTec also intends to
increase its R&D investments, with a focus on processing of fermentation
waste, gasification of solids, and upgrading of biogas to natural gas
quality. An additional focus will be on the enhancement of a process that
converts heat resulting from the generation of biogas into electricity.
Olaf von Lehmden, founding shareholder, managing director and future CEO of
EnviTec, comments: 'We want to use the funds we are entrusted with to
further expand our strong market position as an integrated provider and
operator of biogas plants in Europe.'

With a total installed electrical connected load of approx. 61.9 megawatts
(MWel.) at the end of 2006, EnviTec is the leading provider of biogas
plants in Europe. The German company covers the entire value chain for the
production of biogas - including the planning and turnkey construction of
biogas plants as well as their commissioning. The company provides the
biological and technical service and also offers the full plant and
operating management. In addition, EnviTec also operates its own biogas
plants. The biogas plants constructed and managed by EnviTec in 2006 had an
average capacity utilization of more than 90 percent following the start-up
phase. In Penkun, in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania,
EnviTec is currently constructing what it believes to be the world's
largest biogas park with an electrical connected load of 20 MWel.

In the 2006 financial year, the EnviTec Group generated revenues of EUR
100.7 million (2005: EUR 40.8 million) and EBIT of EUR 18.5 million (2005:
EUR 5.5 million). The Group currently has about 240 employees.
