EnviTec Biogas expects increase in sales to EUR 150 to EUR 200 million in
2009

Lohne, January 20, 2009 – EnviTec Biogas AG [ISIN: DE000A0MVLS8, WKN:
A0MVLS], headquartered in Lohne, feels confident for the fiscal year 2009:
The manufacturer and operator of biogas plants expects an increase in sales
to EUR 150 to EUR 200 million. The company expects a continued strong
demand in Germany, which already set off after the amendment of the German
Renewable Energies Act (EEG) midyear 2008. Furthermore EnviTec Biogas
assumes an ongoing increase in export business.

As far as the economic situation – in particular a stabilization of the
financial markets – allow, EnviTec Biogas will concretize its sales target
and possibly ad an EBIT outlook. The wide range results from the currently
prolonged investigation and approval procedures with regard to financing
and plant engineering. 'Therefore it is not possible to give a more precise
outlook at the moment', says Olaf von Lehmden, Chief Executive Officer of
EnviTec Biogas AG. 'Due to the current economic situation and the related
uncertainties, we still want to provide the stakeholders with a first
indication of the good business development of our company.'

EnviTec Biogas AG covers the entire value chain for the production of
biogas - including the planning and turnkey construction of biogas plants
as well as their commissioning. The company provides the biological and
technical service and also offers the full plant and operating management.
In Güstrow, in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, EnviTec
builds the world’s largest plant for the production of biogas to natural
gas standards with an electrical connected load of 22 megawatts. In
addition, the company also operates its own biogas plants. Today, the
company is represented in more than 15 countries throughout Europe and as
well in China and India. In 2007 EnviTec generated revenues of EUR 132
million and EBIT of EUR 18 million. The EnviTec Group has about 270
employees. Since July 2007 EnviTec is listed on the Prime Standard segment
of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
