Neckarsulm, 14/02/2008 – 2007 was the most successful year in Bechtle AG's
25 year history. According to preliminary figures, the IT service and
trading company achieved record results in regard to both turnover and EBT.
In the last financial year, turnover rose by around 160 million Euros to
approximately 1.38 thousand million Euros and is up 13 per cent from the
previous year (2006: 1.22 thousand million Euros). Bechtle has dwarfed its
own forecast as well as the overall market growth. The 2007 EBT growth was
above average at around 59 million Euros, an increase of 28 per cent
(previous year: 45.9 million Euros). This significant increase in
profitability proves that Bechtle's restructuring measures taken in the
last two years are a complete success. With this EBT, the group has again
topped their own expectations of 58 million Euros. Due to new recruitments
and acquistions, the number of employees, as of 31st December, 2007, has
risen to around 4200 (previous year: 3888).
Bechtle will publish its final figures for 2007 on 27th March 2008.
