Bechtle AG reports strong Q4/2012 – EBT grows by 8% to EUR28.5 m in Q4 – Revenues up 5% to EUR612 m – Record revenue in FY 2012
Both revenues and earnings in the fourth quarter were considerably higher than the previous year's figures, marking it the most successful quarter in the company's history. Preliminary figures suggest an increase in revenues by some 5% from EUR584 m to around EUR612 m between October and December 2012. EBT rose by some 8% to approximately EUR28.5 m (previous year: EUR26.4 m). The EBT margin improved from 4.5% to approximately 4.7% in the fourth quarter. In the 2012 fiscal year, the group generated revenues amounting to some EUR2.1 bn euros, an increase of over 5% compared to 2011. At approximately EUR79 m, earnings before taxes were around 8% below the previous year (EUR86.3 m). This is largely due to extensive recruitment of new staff and a consequential increase in personnel expenses. In 2012, the headcount increased by an average of 634 people. The EBT margin decreased to 3.8% compared to 4.3% in the previous year. '2012 was a successful year for us. We've made significant investments in our range of services, while growing at an above-market rate. In the final quarter, we were able to exceed all key performance indicators of the previous year. This tells me that Bechtle is on the right path', explains Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG.
