The company has developed the world's leading electronic marketplace for thermal coal, as well as a range of standardised coal quality specifications, a Standard Coal Trading Agreement (SCoTA(R)), and robust methodology for coal price index calculation. Including HMS Bergbau AG, globalCOAL(TM) now counts 88 members. As an independent supplier in the international commodity market HMS Bergbau AG is developing a new distribution channel by joining globalCOAL(TM). HMS is purchasing coal and coal products from leading producers and delivering it to consumers across the world.
