HMS Bergbau AG: Change to the Executive Board

– CFO, Bernd Sagemann, has decided to step down from the Executive Board

Berlin, 20 August 2014: HMS Bergbau AG, an international coal supplier with operating expertise of coal mining, transport and trade, is announcing the early termination of the contract with its CFO, Bernd Sagemann.

Bernd Sagemann asked the Supervisory Board to end his contract prematurely for personal reasons. The Supervisory Board has yielded to this request to step down as at 20 August 2014 with regret and thanks Mr Sagemann for his work for and successful performance at HMS Bergbau AG.

“Bernd Sagemann actively and successfully promoted the positive development of HMS Bergbau with his commitment, expertise and his personality”, commented Heinz Schernikau, CEO and founder of HMS Bergbau AG.

CEO Heinz Schernikau will assume Bernd Sagemann’s management responsibilities until further notice and will therefore serve as the sole member of the Executive Board. Bernd Sagemann will continue to be available to the Company in an advisory capacity.
